City of Sapphire Dream
This artwork represents one of the 'SkyLine' paintings from my previous collection, known for its unique integration of paint, cloth, paper, metal, glass, glitter, color-changing film, and other diverse materials. A clear resin coating is applied to impart a glossy, glass-like finish to the painting. Its versatility makes it suitable for various settings, including homes (in any room), bars, restaurants, and cafes.
As viewers navigate around the artwork, they will observe certain buildings undergoing captivating color transformations. The strategic placement of mirrors throughout the painting enhances its reflective properties. This distinctive style originated in Chicago, Illinois, initially sized at 8x10 and has since evolved to larger dimensions.
Authentically capturing the vivacity of a thriving city, this painting distinguishes itself with meticulous attention to detail, showcasing individuals and actions seldom depicted in other Skyline paintings. Inspired by the musical rap artist Logic and his song 'Metropolis' (Official Audio), this artwork reflects my memories of time spent in Chicago.
