Why AnuCompany?
Background: The name 'Anu' is derived from Sumerian, Assyrian, and Babylonian mythology. 'Anu' (also An; from Sumerian *An = sky, heaven) was a sky-god, the god of heaven, lord of constellations, king of gods, spirits, and demons, and dwelt in the highest heavenly regions.
Personally, this name serves as a word that simply means 'to start over', or start Anu. It is a brand name that will never be forgotten.
Currently, the owner of this site and all the artwork for sale is working to spread knowledge of his creations until the day comes when both art and food and entertainment will be under one roof."
Pipe dream in the making…
Anu will offer a variety of performances, such as acoustic artists, stand-up comedians, poetry readings, etc. Events can run for as little as one weekend, others the entire month depending on demand.
Performances will have the style and atmosphere that is in conjunction with the art and food being served during that month, and will be chosen six months in advance. Ticket sales will begin once an artist is booked and the menu is created. Admittance will include a three-course dinner, entertainment, and a reception to peruse art and commune with the performers… Maybe one day. We tried a few times in the past. I hope to open something that will work for everyone.
