In some you see a lone rusty bucket, or a crumpled piece of paper, or a tossed aside thumb tact. In others you see a broken concrete floor littered with trash, or an old scratched and stained wood flooring meeting crumbling concrete flooring, or a crumbling brick wall. They all have one thing in common, though – the perspective. She has been creating art for nearly a decade using stacked textures and inspired from industrial and metal materials. Usher creates dynamic layered works of art in the categories of steampunk, industrial, abstract, and collage. She finds inspiration from repurposed materials and creates unique and complex works of art. -Betsy Usher Capucine Bourcart From New York, New York- Artist Statement: From 2008 to beginning of 2012, she shot all streets of Manhattan from State Street to 220th street, looking for colors, different materials, cracks, graffiti and anomalies. All kind of details that caught her attention as a photographer and which give New York its personality. She collected about 4,500 pieces. The photographs highlight the intricate details of the walls that surround us, including the locks on doors, creative street numbers, brick and mortar pattern, and colors, all of which are manifestation of an artistic expression. -Capucine Bourcart Lomesh Bodhankar From Maywood, New Jersey- Artist Statement: Evolved Human figures, particularly of urbane women combined with geometric shapes modified to form a musical element of the picture, his painting work draws its inspiration from complexities of the contemporary lifestyle he witnessed throughout his journey of life.Coming from a small village of India, developing his artistic sensibilities in cultural cities of India like Nasik and Pune, his destiny took me to USA where he am searching for the fourth dimension that he can add to his work while mentoring young artists to find their expression. -Lomesh Bodhankar Jeannie Hua From Las Vegas, Nevada- Artist Statement: She like to make collages.She would shred images of beautiful people, places, products of desire. She removes them from context and reduce the images into basic blocks of color. She used the multi-hued shreds to create light, darkness, and value. The act of deconstructing ready-made images then combining and reassembling the pieces into something new while retaining traces of the former context have fascinated and challenged her within the medium of the collage. -Jeannie Hua Ruchi Soni From Taylorsville, Utah- Artist Statement: She is a girl who's born and raised in India. India, the country of colors and lights, She feel those colors are in her blood. Painting is her passion. She love to paint something which pops out with some meaning/challenge to her or admire the nature. In her recent painting she named as “Deep into the eyes”, shows the Indian tribal lady whose main purpose is to nurture her family with all challenges and the tiredness floating in her eyes. She just paint to relax herself, to divert her mind from any tension or to make her self happy. -Ruchi Soni Derrek Wall From Salt Lake City, Utah Artist Statement: 'Queer Fantasia'- This title captures the nature of his current work which focuses on themes of queer identity, female celebrity within the larger contexts marginalization, invisibility and social unease. All of these themes come together in a playful, loving and dynamic way. He is a 'gay man' and take deep pride in his community not just as an artist but as an artist who seeks to increase the visibility of queer people and inform through art. He find inspiration in cartoons, movies, internet memes, books and art. -Derrek Wall Rob Frankel From Wilmette, Illinois Artist Statement: He tries to use his brush to capture tension between patterns, colors, and textures. If he is successful , those who view his work will feel the same joy he feel when creating . He is a self-taught artist and have been involved over 20 years in painting and wood sculpting. His work is abstract and often features bright colors and unusual shapes and textures. Some of his influences include Jean Dubuffet, Roberto Marx, and Simeon Braguin. -Rob Frankel Victoria Duff From Boise, Idaho- Artist Statement: Her art is centralized around people. These characters she created come with their own personalities, emotions, and stories that she hopes to convey through their color filled expressions. Her heavy handed, chaotic, hyperbolic style began as a self-indulgent way to express herself. With the works she create now, She just want people to be able to see one of her pieces and feel something in response. -Victoria Duff Matthew Wetschler From San Francisco, California Artist Statement: Dr. Matthew Wetschler is a physician, artist, and former professional athlete. In 2017 he suffered a spinal cord injury while body surfing near his home at Ocean Beach. During the event he drowned and had a death experience - his heart had stopped for approximately 10 minutes. Prior to his accident, he had completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Stanford University and was practicing as a part-time physician and painter living in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco. His work explores our relationship with limits, edges, and the space beyond.-Matthew Wetschler Gerald Roulette From St.Gresham, Oregon- Artist Statement: Art is his way of capturing life. This series presents the viewer with the experience of standing at center court and looking at both basketball hoops simultaneously. Each basketball court is unique, creating a portfolio of images that highlights the remarkable diversity of settings for a game that unifies people worldwide. -Craig Schwanfelder Nora Moore Lloyd From Chicago, Illinois- Artist Statement: Nora Moore Lloyd often combines her interest in history with photography projects. Her artistic focus is an ongoing work-in-progress photo documentation of elders in Chicago’s American Indian community. Locally, her work has been shown at The Field Museum, Chicago History Museum, Illinois State Museum Gallery locations, Cahokia Mounds Museum and Trickster Gallery. She also exhibited at Museo Nacional de Etnografia Y Folklore in Bolivia and Museo Nacional de Arqueologia & Ethnologia de Guatemala.-Nora Moore Lloyd Sharron Allen From Montclair, New Jersey- Artist Statement: She think of herself as a budding collage artist who is trying to create useful, “livable” art. She grew up hating art class because she felt she had no creative side. After retiring, she decided to step out of many of her comfort zones and creating art was one of them. Her color and her collages begin as splashes of color that sometime turn into something she believe to be interesting. She then turn them into something that could be useful, wearable or just fun. She have no previous experience, but she enjoys what she do and hopefully she will see folks one day using and wearing my creations.-Sharron Allen Lynette Nichols From Tooele, Utah- Artist Statement: Her artwork is a collection of original ink designs done completely free hand, without the aid of a pencil, ruler or compass. The detail of her work is a blend of patterns and shapes, influenced by various native cultures and a deep bond with the natural world. She is new to the art world, only discovering this passion for drawing within the last few years. It is her desire, that through her artwork, she is able to share her personal expression of the intricate beauty of nature; if only to convey a new perspective of this amazing world we live in.-Lynette Nichols Kerney Bee From Salt Lake City is a photographer/digital. Her art pays homage to the beauty that her city and surrounding mountains offer, while crafting colorful creations from her everyday experiences.
